It has been two weeks since the Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival has ended and now I am starting to miss everyone.  The good news is I am going to the PA Renaissance Festival next weekend and hope to meet up with some of my fellow cast members.  I can't wait to finally wear one of my corsets.  I was not able to wear them as the "Seamstress".

Well, my husband and I auditioned... If you want to call it an audition. The Entertainment Director was sneaky. He had the already hired cast and the newbies "play" an improve game in which we addressed the King and the Queen as our desired characters. Later when he called us into his office he just told us that we were hired and how much we were going to be paid. I chose to be middle-class merchant-seamstress and my husband got the role of innkeeper and knows all the dirt of the shire. By the way were are not married on the cast...we would have more fun separated from each other and would feel more free to interact with other playtrons. Who knows maybe there will be a scandal between us sometime over the summer.

Well it is now August and the summer is soon to be over. I have been so busy with my husband buying a Comic book and Games store and him still working his other job, guess who was working at the store! I did enjoy myself after all it I was not doing that I would be at home GAINING WEIGHT watching Dr. Phil and People's Court. I am currently working on garb for the up and coming Greater Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival. This year we are going to tryout for cast. Auditions are this Tuesday( 8/5) and the Faire begins on August 22nd. Wish me luck. I figure if I usually go almost every weekend paying $60 (for 2 people for 2 days) why not go and get paid instead.
